DALYAN RIVER BOAT CRUISE
What could be more relaxing than surrounding yourself with natural beauty on a Dalyan river cruise? One of Turkey’s most pristine beaches is the destination, with stops at mud baths and a riverside restaurant en route. Due to the presence of endangered loggerhead turtles nesting here, Iztuzu beach is also known as Turtle Beach. It was set to be developed with new resorts in the 1980s, but luckily conservation was prioritised, and instead it remains a sanctuary for the turtles. It’s a magical spot with very little human interference.’
We’ll start by meandering down the River Dalyan on an eco-friendly boat – which doesn’t harm marine life – and have fun smoothing on the anti-ageing clay during a stop at mud baths. Great for glowing skin, local legend says Cleopatra visited for a pampering soak in the mineral-rich liquid mud. Finish with a dip in the warm sulphur pool before cruising across the river for a freshly prepared lunch of local dishes. Adding a little history and culture to the mix, you’ll glide past Lycian Rock Tombs carved into the cliffs more than 2,000 years ago.
You’ll have the chance to spot birdlife where the river widens into a lagoon, before docking at Iztuzu beach. This 4km sweep of sand divides the river from the sea, a natural oasis that’s a true haven for wildlife. Sheltered by mountains, the beach shelves gently into a calm bay, where an afternoon of pure chilling beckons. Round off your day with the return river cruise to Dalyan.
PARAGLIDING
“No experience is necessary!” Oludeniz offers the best tandem paragliding site in Europe, if not the world. The spectacular views and stable weather conditions puts it right up there. From the perfect take off sites close to the 1960 m summit of Babadag Mountain, your flight will take you over the ridges with a birds eye view of the white streched beach and the famous lagoon. After a 25 to 45 minute flight, you will land close to the beach
FETHIYE BOAT CRUISE
Perhaps the region’s finest, Fethiye’s natural harbour is a popular place to set sail from in a traditional Turkish gulet and to navigate around the broad bay, scattered with pretty islands. This full-day cruise gives you the chance to sightsee, swim and snorkel at four different stops and feast on a tasty lunch onboard, too.
All you need to do is relax on deck enjoying the sea breezes and scenery as you drift from bay to bay, dropping anchor from time to time so you can swim or snorkel in the beautifully clear waters.
Then after lunch on-board, you’ll get more time to kick back as you head for Red Island. The finishing touch is the on-board bar, where you can have unlimited soft drinks, beer and wine while you sail.

FETHIYE SHOPPING & SIGHTSEEING TOUR
Two of Turkey’s top things to do combine on this tour – shopping and sightseeing. Shop ‘til you drop in Fethiye’s famous markets and bazaars, see the ancient Lycian tombs carved into the cliffs and taste traditional Turkish delight.
Before you’re let loose to do some serious shopping, there’s a stop at a Turkish delight factory to fill your bags with these traditional sugar-dusted treats. After a stop by Fethiye’s Roman-era amphitheatre, it’s on to Gold Centre where you can snap up jewellery at bargain prices.
Practice your haggling skills in the town’s bustling Paspatur bazaar, and work your way through the countless stands stacked with spices, leather bags, rugs and ceramics in the weekly market. And between the bartering, you’ll even get to see the cliff-carved Lycian tombs, built by the ancient civilisation that once ruled the region.
FETHIYE JEEP SAFARI TOUR
The River Xanthos area has been the scene of action since ancient times – and the fun just keeps on coming with this excursion. You’ll go on an open-top 4×4 safari through mountains and past villages before enjoying the chance to go river tubing on the Xanthos.
Your first stop is Zorlar. The village’s Ottoman-style houses epitomise old Turkey. After trundling through fruit groves, you’ll enjoy lunch by the river at Restaurant. Tuck into fresh fish or chicken, and then take a dip or sunbathe beside the cascading waters.
